Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 4, 2026

1. Scope of Services

Meet Caria is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) recruitment platform that enables job seekers, employers, and recruiters to streamline hiring processes through AI-powered automation.

Services include:

  • Video interviews
  • Automated AI assessments
  • Candidate screening
  • Job-matching services

These Terms apply to all users, including free and premium account holders, employers, and API integrators.

2. Account Registration, Responsibilities & Security

Users must create an account and provide accurate, up-to-date information. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and preventing unauthorized access to their account.

Meet Caria reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Users are advised to use strong passwords.

Limitation of liability

Meet Caria is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from weak passwords, credential leaks, or phishing attempts.

3. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Activities

Users agree not to misuse Meet Caria, including but not limited to:

  • Submitting false job offers or misleading job descriptions
  • Harassing, intimidating, or discriminating against candidates or employers
  • Uploading inappropriate or illegal content (offensive language, explicit material, fake identities)
  • Attempting to exploit security vulnerabilities
  • Reverse-engineering the platform or bypassing access restrictions

Consequences

Immediate account suspension and possible legal action.

4. Service Availability & Liability for Interruptions

Meet Caria strives to provide continuous, high-quality service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Meet Caria shall not be liable for service failures caused by:

  • Scheduled maintenance or urgent updates
  • Cyberattacks (DDoS, ransomware, security breaches)
  • Cloud infrastructure failures (e.g. DigitalOcean, third-party providers)
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, war, government restrictions)

No refunds are offered for temporary service disruptions.

5. Free Trial Limitations

Free trial accounts are limited to specific features outlined on the pricing page. Trial access may be suspended at any time without notice. No guarantees are provided for data storage or continuity after the trial period. Trial users must comply with all applicable Terms.

6. AI Responsibility Disclaimer

Meet Caria uses AI technologies to assist in candidate discovery, engagement, and interviewing. AI-generated results are recommendations only. Final hiring decisions remain the sole responsibility of employers.

Meet Caria does not guarantee employment outcomes. AI systems rely on probabilistic models and may contain inaccuracies or unintended biases.

User rights

Users may request a manual review of AI-generated assessments they believe are inaccurate or biased.

7. Employer & Recruiter Obligations

Employers and recruiters agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable labor and anti-discrimination laws
  • Use candidate data solely for legitimate recruitment purposes
  • Avoid unethical or misleading hiring practices
  • Not resell, redistribute, or share candidate data without written consent

Meet Caria reserves the right to verify employer identities, request business registration or proof of legitimacy, and terminate accounts for violations.

8. Subscription Plans, Payments & Refunds

Meet Caria offers free and premium subscription plans. Payments are processed through secure third-party providers. All payments are non-refundable once the billing period has started.

Subscriptions can be canceled from the user dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued. Pricing and plans may be modified with prior notice.

8.1 Payment Processing

Payments are securely processed by third-party providers (e.g. Stripe). Meet Caria does not store full payment information. Payment disputes must be raised with the payment provider.

8.2 Fair Usage Policy

Each plan includes a predefined usage volume. Excessive or abusive usage (e.g. automated scripts, exploitative automation) may result in account suspension or additional charges.

9. Fair Use Policy – Interview Duration Limit

Interview Time Allocation

Each plan includes a monthly interview time quota calculated as: Number of interviews × 15 minutes

Examples:

  • 300 interviews = 4,500 minutes
  • 100 interviews = 1,500 minutes

Time may be distributed freely as long as the total quota is not exceeded.

Overage Policy

Additional interview time is billed at $0.80 per minute. Meet Caria may restrict features or suspend accounts for repeated misuse.

Recommendations

Recommended interview duration: 7–15 minutes. For higher usage needs, contact Meet Caria for enterprise plans.

10. Data Ownership & Retention

All data submitted or generated becomes the exclusive property of Meet Caria. Users grant a perpetual, worldwide license for platform optimization. Data is retained for 10 years, unless legally required otherwise.

Users may request deletion of personal data. Deletion requests are processed within 90 days, subject to legal obligations.

11. AI Model Training & Data Usage

Anonymized data may be used to improve AI models. PII is not used without explicit consent. Users may opt out by contacting info@meetcaria.ai.

12. Moderation, Fraud Prevention & Account Suspension

Meet Caria actively monitors activity and may suspend accounts involved in fraudulent job listings, scams or phishing, or misrepresentation of job terms.

13. Protection Against Automated Requests & Data Scraping

Users may not use bots, crawlers, or automated scripts; scrape candidate data or platform content; or bypass security or rate-limiting mechanisms. Violations may result in IP bans or account termination.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes are resolved exclusively in Delaware courts.

15. Compliance with U.S. Export Laws

Users confirm they are not subject to U.S. trade sanctions and comply with export control laws.

16. GDPR Compliance & Data Requests (EEA Users)

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), Meet Caria complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

For EU-based users, Meet Caria does not store or process personal data within the EU. As a US-based service provider, we comply with GDPR principles to the best of our ability, including data minimization, user consent, and access rights.

Users must ensure their own compliance when importing or processing candidate data via the platform.

Users in the EEA have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of their personal data. Requests should be submitted via info@meetcaria.ai.

17. Updates & Notifications of Modifications to These Terms

Meet Caria will notify users of any significant updates to these Terms at least 30 days in advance via email or platform notifications.

Users who continue to use the platform after this period agree to the revised Terms.

18. Intellectual Property & Copyright

All trademarks, logos, software, and content related to Meet Caria are the exclusive property of Meet Caria and are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of Meet Caria without explicit written permission.

Unauthorized use of Meet Caria's intellectual property will result in legal action.

19. Third-Party Integrations & External Services

Meet Caria may integrate with third-party services (e.g., background checks, video conferencing, HR software).

Meet Caria is not responsible for any failures, security breaches, or misuse of data by third-party services.

Users are encouraged to review the Terms & Privacy Policies of any third-party integrations.

20. Liability Limitations & Disclaimer of Warranties

Meet Caria provides its platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

Meet Caria does not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or 100% accurate.

In no event shall Meet Caria's liability exceed the amount paid by you in the last 6 months for the service.

Meet Caria shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of its platform.

21. Termination & Account Closure

Meet Caria reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account if a user violates these Terms.

Users may request account deletion at any time, subject to data retention policies.

Meet Caria may terminate access to the platform without notice if deemed necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

22. Force Majeure

Meet Caria shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or failures in service due to circumstances beyond its control, including:

  • Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, fires)
  • Wars, terrorism, or political instability
  • Internet failures, cyberattacks, or third-party service disruptions

Users waive any claims against Meet Caria for service failures caused by force majeure events.

23. Governing Language

These Terms are written in English, and in case of translations, the English version will prevail.

Meet Caria is not responsible for errors in translation that may lead to misinterpretation of these Terms.

25. Data Processing Agreement (DPA) & Compliance with Employment Laws

Meet Caria may enter into Data Processing Agreements (DPA) with businesses that require compliance with GDPR and other data protection frameworks.

Employers using Meet Caria are responsible for ensuring that their job postings, recruitment practices, and hiring decisions comply with local, state, and national employment laws.

Meet Caria does not assume liability for non-compliance with labor laws by employers or recruiters.

26. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration Clause

Users agree that any disputes not resolved through informal negotiations shall be settled through binding arbitration in Delaware, USA.

Arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

Class action lawsuits are prohibited – disputes must be handled individually.

27. Indemnification Clause

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meet Caria, its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or legal expenses arising from:

  • Misuse of the platform
  • Violations of these Terms
  • Hiring disputes, discrimination claims, or wrongful termination lawsuits
  • Misuse of the platform, including fraudulent job postings or fake applications
  • Violations of third-party rights, such as intellectual property infringement
  • Failure to comply with applicable laws when using Meet Caria's services

28. User-Generated Content & Public Posts

If users post reviews, feedback, or testimonials on Meet Caria, they grant Meet Caria a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, or display this content for marketing and improvement purposes.

Meet Caria reserves the right to remove content that is deemed offensive, misleading, or violates any laws.

29. AI Decision-Making Transparency

Meet Caria does not make hiring decisions – AI-generated assessments serve only as decision support tools for employers.

Candidates have the right to request an explanation of AI-based hiring decisions, in compliance with GDPR & AI Act regulations.

Employers using automated decision-making tools must ensure compliance with local labor laws regarding AI use in hiring.

30. No Waiver Clause

Failure of Meet Caria to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its rights.

Any waiver of a right must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Meet Caria.

31. Survival Clause

Certain provisions will survive account termination, including:

  • Intellectual property rights
  • Data ownership & retention policies
  • Liability disclaimers & indemnification clauses

32. Severability Clause

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid one that reflects the original intent as closely as possible.

33. Compliance with AI Ethics and Regulatory Standards

Meet Caria complies with emerging AI regulations such as the EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA, and other global frameworks governing automated decision-making in employment.

Employers using AI-based hiring tools are responsible for ensuring compliance with anti-discrimination laws and fair hiring practices.

Meet Caria does not assume responsibility for biased hiring practices or unlawful use of AI insights by third parties.

34. Security Breaches & Incident Response

Meet Caria follows industry-standard security protocols to protect user data.

In the event of a data breach, Meet Caria will:

  • Notify affected users within the legally required timeframe
  • Conduct an internal investigation and take necessary corrective actions
  • Comply with regulatory reporting obligations under GDPR, CCPA, and US data protection laws

Users are responsible for reporting suspected security vulnerabilities or unauthorized access to Meet Caria.

35. Changes to Business Operations

Meet Caria reserves the right to:

  • Change, modify, or discontinue any feature or service at its discretion
  • Transfer its rights or obligations under these Terms in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • Notify users of significant operational changes that may affect service availability

36. Independent Contractor Status

Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, or agency relationship between Meet Caria and its users.

Users, including employers and candidates, operate as independent parties and cannot act on behalf of Meet Caria.

37. Governing Law for International Users

While Meet Caria is governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, international users agree that:

  • Local laws may apply depending on their jurisdiction
  • Any legal disputes must still be resolved through arbitration or litigation in Delaware, unless explicitly prohibited by local law

38. User Responsibilities for Accuracy of Information

Users agree to provide only truthful and accurate information when registering, applying for jobs, or posting job listings.

Meet Caria is not responsible for errors, omissions, or misrepresentations made by users.

Meet Caria reserves the right to suspend or ban accounts found to be providing false or misleading information.

39. No Employment Guarantee & Liability Disclaimer

Meet Caria is a technology provider and does not guarantee job placements, employment contracts, or hiring outcomes.

Users acknowledge that employers are solely responsible for hiring decisions.

Meet Caria shall not be held liable for disputes, wrongful termination, salary discrepancies, or breaches of employment contracts.

40. Fraudulent Job Listings & Candidate Identity Verification

Meet Caria reserves the right to review, remove, or suspend any job listing deemed fraudulent, misleading, or in violation of labor laws.

Meet Caria does not conduct background checks on candidates and is not responsible for fraudulent applications.

Employers are responsible for verifying candidate credentials before making hiring decisions.

41. Data Portability & User Data Requests

Users have the right to request a copy of their personal data stored on Meet Caria.

Meet Caria provides data export functionality for users who wish to migrate their data to another service.

Users may submit a request for data portability via info@meetcaria.ai.

42. Compliance with Fair AI Practices & Transparency

Meet Caria is committed to fair AI practices and ensures that its AI models are regularly audited for bias and fairness.

Users have the right to challenge AI-based hiring decisions and request a human review.

Employers must ensure that automated decision-making complies with local employment laws.

43. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Meet Caria uses cookies and tracking technologies to enhance user experience, analyze performance, and improve services.

Users can manage their cookie preferences through browser settings or platform controls.

Disabling cookies may affect certain functionalities of the platform.

44. Third-Party Advertisements & Marketing Communications

Meet Caria may display third-party job postings, sponsored content, or advertisements on its platform.

Users may opt out of marketing communications via account settings or by contacting support.

Meet Caria does not endorse any external advertisers or third-party services displayed on the platform.

45. Account Sharing & Unauthorized Use

Each Meet Caria account is strictly personal and cannot be shared among multiple users.

Users are responsible for all activity under their account.

Meet Caria reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts suspected of unauthorized access or account sharing.

46. Governing AI Liability & Decision-Making Limitations

Meet Caria only provides AI-assisted decision-making tools and does not make hiring decisions.

Employers remain fully responsible for hiring decisions based on AI evaluations.

Meet Caria does not guarantee the accuracy of AI assessments and shall not be liable for any employment consequences resulting from their use.

47. No Compensation for Service Downtime

Meet Caria does not guarantee 100% uptime and shall not offer financial compensation for temporary service disruptions.

No refunds or credits shall be granted for technical failures, scheduled maintenance, or external events beyond Meet Caria's control.

48. Governing Laws for Users Outside the U.S.

While Meet Caria operates under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, users outside the U.S. acknowledge that:

  • Local laws may apply depending on their country of residence
  • Legal disputes shall be resolved under Delaware jurisdiction, unless explicitly prohibited by local law

49. Ethics & Code of Conduct for Recruiters & Employers

All employers and recruiters using Meet Caria must adhere to professional conduct standards when interacting with candidates.

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Requesting personal sensitive information (race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.)
  • Pressuring candidates into making quick or uninformed decisions
  • Using Meet Caria to bypass local labor laws or engage in unethical hiring practices

Meet Caria reserves the right to remove accounts and job listings found in violation of these ethical guidelines.

50. Special Terms for Enterprise Clients

Some advanced features of Meet Caria are reserved for enterprise clients under specific contracts.

Enterprise clients with API access or customized solutions must:

  • Sign a dedicated service agreement outlining mutual obligations
  • Agree to additional confidentiality and data protection terms
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations when using Meet Caria services

52. Data Breach Notification & Security Measures

Meet Caria employs industry-standard security protocols to protect user data.

In case of a data breach, Meet Caria will:

  • Notify affected users as required by applicable laws
  • Take immediate action to contain, investigate, and mitigate potential risks
  • Cooperate with regulatory authorities and cybersecurity teams to prevent recurrence

53. AI Explainability & Transparency

Meet Caria is committed to explainable AI and provides:

  • Detailed insights into how AI-powered assessments work
  • User access to request explanations regarding AI decisions affecting their profile
  • Compliance with AI transparency regulations, including GDPR's right to explanation

54. No Unlawful Use of AI for Discrimination or Bias

Meet Caria strictly prohibits:

  • AI-based discrimination in hiring based on race, gender, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics
  • Employers from using Meet Caria to create unlawful hiring filters that may lead to biased outcomes

Meet Caria reserves the right to audit AI decision-making processes and disable access for violators.

55. AI System Updates & Performance Monitoring

Meet Caria continuously updates and improves AI models for accuracy and fairness.

AI system changes may include:

  • Algorithmic improvements based on user feedback
  • New compliance measures to meet emerging regulations
  • Performance monitoring to detect anomalies or biases

57. Data Retention Policy & Right to Erasure

Meet Caria retains personal and professional data for 10 years, unless required otherwise by law.

Users have the right to:

  • Request deletion of their data via info@meetcaria.ai
  • Revoke consent for AI-based processing if legally applicable
  • Download a copy of their personal records before requesting account deletion

Certain AI-generated insights and anonymized data may be retained for research and development purposes.
